The general aim of this project is to create a common space for citizens form different European countries to empower their civic participation, to discuss and work together by confronting views and experience on currently engaging and crucial issues for Europeans. 

The project focuses on the challenges of democracy, in particular the future of democratic debate in times of digital revolution and increasing polarisation, the fight against disinformation, the review of the actual and potential impact of EU policies and the convergence towards the values that make up the European community.
 

Mutual understanding of the fears and expectations of people from different regions of Europe makes it possible to find common ground and define values that are still worth standing up for. The project aims to strengthen cross-border dialogue on European challenges by promoting understanding of each other's opinions, encouraging a culture of debate and constructive criticism and developing digital media skills.

The Project is being implemented within the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme in the framework of transnational cooperation:

Democracy International is the German partner organisation of the project and was responsible for the planning and implementation of the event in Cologne, Germany. The event took place from 6 to 8 July 2023 during PRIDE in Cologne.
