Local events: Get to know your candidates, Get to know your constituents
Ahead of the European Parliament elections that took place 6-9 June, local events took place in the cities of Sofia (Bulgaria), Zagreb (Croatia), Prague (Czechia), Tallinn (Estonia), Lisbon (Portugal), and Ljubljana (Slovenia) to host an exchange between candidates for European Parliament and citizens. The events, called Get to know your citizens, Get to know your constituents, allowed citizens to elevate their questions and concerns among a panel discussion of candidates for Euroepan Parliament from at least 4 political parties, and likewise allowed the candidates to better understand the needs and concerns of their potential future constituents.
