Together with the “Obywatele Obywatelom” Association (“Citizens for Citizens”) from Łódź we are carrying out a project called “We the Citizens” (Polish “My Obywatele”), which is co-funded by Switzerland as part of a Swiss cooperation programme for new EU states.

The aim of our project is to promote a participatory democracy model through encouraging people to form associations and work for their local communities. We want to show how to solve local problems by means of self-organization and self-help in form of associations. We'll help with the establishment of the network and initiate educational activities that will provide substantive support to the project.
The main goal of the 2-year project is to mobilize young people, local groups and organizations to become active in the citizen sector, establish associations and get involved in those that already exist. Being part of the “We the Citizens” network, we'll strive to promote the idea of association-forming in Poland and Germany.
